  Chris has been involved in managing websites since 1996. Often in collaboration with Platform 2 Associates, he has had involvement in a number of sites where his role ranges from overall design and content responsibility to management of data and co-ordination of inputs from various sources. Crinan Boatyard

   

The boatyard for the professional and the leisure seaman alike

A revamp and rebuild of an existing website to improve presentation and make it easier for staff at the boatyard to keep the site up to date. Wordpress offers a relatively easy interface for website owners to make minor changes and updates themselves, and this customer is getting involved with learning how to adjust the presentation of various aspects of the site.

Involvement: set up templates, copied over material from old website and then let the customer get on with it

Log and gallery system for Royal Thames Yacht Club

The Royal Thames Yacht Club commissioned this website as a means of allowing members to follow each others' meanderings around the globe.

Members can easily upload position reports (through the website or by email) - including photographs. Position fixes are shown using Google maps, so members can also quickly find out who is in their area. One of the most popular features of the site is maintaining a photo log for skippers, who can download the log to make photo books.
